The Morning After

The political orgy of the count centre is behind us and after all the effort and optimism of the past few weeks, there's the inevitability of the 'downer' now that it's all over.
It is an incredible result for Fine Gael with 76 or 77 seats now looking a certainty. It won't be long before the dust settles and the reality and enormity of the task ahead of us begins to sink in.  The honeymoon period won't last long but we all need to pull together, back the new government to the hilt and play our part in getting this country working again.
